John Corbett stars as “Flash,” a musician who has spent the last 25 years making a good living as a respected session man and hired guitar gun on live tours. Working for big stars like Madonna and Lady Gaga has afforded him a nice apartment, a new car, and plenty of cash. The one thing he’s never had is creative control -- he’s always playing someone else’s music. That’s why he’s willing to listen when Johnny approaches him about getting The Heathens back together. Well, that and the fact that Johnny’s smoking hot daughter is in the band. Now, Flash has decided to be a mature adult and forgive Johnny for sleeping with his wife back in 1992, by dating his daughter. But being an adult is harder than it seems when you’re surrounded by children. A familiar face to television audiences everywhere, John Corbett is perhaps best known as the sexy “Aidan Shaw” on HBO’s Sex & the City, a role that he reprised in the 2010 feature film Sex & the City 2 opposite Sarah Jessica Parker. For his portrayal of “Aidan,” Corbett received a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2002. Earlier in his career, Corbett starred as “Chris Stevens” on the CBS series Northern Exposure, a role which garnered him nominations for both an Emmy® and a Golden Globe. He most recently played “Max Gregson” on Showtime’s United States of Tara. Corbett memorably starred as “Ian Miller” in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time, and recently reprised this role for the sequel My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which was released early 2016. He can also be seen in the films Street Kings, with Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker; The Burning Plain with Charlize Theron; the Sony feature The Messengers, directed by Danny and Oxide Pang; and Fox 2000’s Ramona and Beezus. Born and raised in West Virginia, Corbett moved out to California to find work in a steel factory. He worked there for 6 years until an injury forced him to stop. Concurrently, he was attending the local city college and decided to sit in on a friend’s drama class. While observing, he was invited on stage for an exercise and became captivated with the craft. Corbett acted in several college theater productions in which his drama teacher recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue Hollywood. Corbett can also be seen performing at shows across the country with his band.
