Angela Lewis

Aunt Louie
Angela Lewis plays Franklin's “Aunt Louie,” a former party girl who has (mostly) left her wild days behind but is now deeply entrenched in Franklin’s business. The success of their drug family dissatisfies Louie, causing a growing rift between her and Jerome. Lewis is a born-and-raised Detroiter and graduate of the University of Michigan. She has always had a desire to integrate her passion for exploring humanity through the arts, standing in the fullness of the light and love that is her core, and carving out a legacy for herself as an actress. Apart from her series regular role on Snowfall, Lewis takes the lead in a Sci-Fi thriller, Let Them Die Like Lovers, currently making the festival rounds. Lewis has appeared in a recurring role on TNT’s The Last Ship, a supporting role in Chris Rock’s comedy feature Top Five and an Ariel Castro-inspired role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Some of her guest star credits include CBS’s Code Black, Showtime’s The Big C and CBS's The Good Wife. No stranger to the stage, Lewis also has an extensive theatrical background which includes The Public Theater’s The Brother/Sister Plays, Yale Repertory Theater’s Good Goods, MCC Theater’s Don’t Go Gentle, and is a proud member of the LAByrinth Theater Company. Perhaps her most coveted role was that of “Annie” in La Jolla Playhouse and Playwrights Horizons' Milk Like Sugar, for which the Los Angeles Times called her “marvelous...devastating at [her] climactic face-off” and also earned her an AUDELCO Award nomination.
